Maddy Thorpe
Osteopath & Cancer Survivor
Maddy's passion for osteopathy grew when she developed persistent pain and cancer after graduating. She sought various treatments within the medical and allied health fields. The challenging journey with cancer has led her to experience a wide range of emotions, struggles, and personal encounters from a patient perspective that has had a massive influence on her clinical practice. She understands the importance of a strong practitioner-patient therapeutic alliance and the value of building a well-informed multidisciplinary team.
Maddy is a cancer survivor, however, is still battling between remission and relapse. She understands uncertainty is anxiety-producing and helping others learn to navigate through these stressful times with empathy and kindness is essential. To her patients, it's never a dull moment with Maddy, her glow and happiness is infectious.
